Got an offer today from Doordash for an E4 role. TC is 210k in Sunnyvale. I told the recruiter that this was laughable as I was making 190k in Austin for a laid back company, with no state income tax and a pretty affordable city. Is it just DD or is the market really tanking? #doordash
I just got off an initial call with a recruiter for an E4 (mid-level) SWE role, and was told to expect about 220-240k TC (~140k base). This is for Bay Area / Seattle, which apparently have the same compensation range. I understand the 320k days are over, but this range is still about 50k less than...Read more

All access has been removed at 12am midnight. Mac got locked, slack got signed out, GitHub account has been removed. Everyone was so panic, thought there was a technical glitch at first, but no one from the IT oncall team was asked to fix the issue, so it seemed more likely to be a massive layoff. ...Read more
Doordash is treating engineers like Slaves. Dragging poor engineers into meetings with HR and firing them for Low performance without a chance to prove their innocence or a PIP to improve. Straight up terminated without notice. There is a fixed Quota for this and apparently it's as high as 6-10%. T...Read more

Hearing through the grapevine. Atlassian earnings have been rough so I get it. Doordash seems fine as always so not sure what to make of that. Uber earnings were good which may be an indicator doordash will keep dashing. Can anyone confirm or deny?
Someone I know got laid off today from DoorDash. Wondering how severe it is or if people know the reason behind it. Edit: To give more context - multiple people on the immediate team were let go. It was the privacy team. TC: 200
