Just got an offer from Apple today and wanted to get some thoughts. 110 base and 90 RSU / 4 years with a 10k sign on bonus. I have a little less than two years of experience.
Whats the role?
Did they tell abt annual bonus or refreshers?
Tech / non tech?
Would be a software engineering role with iCloud team
standard for an entry level engineering job at MSFT and maybe AMZN, but a little under GOOG or FB. Looks like a clear upgrade for you
Yeah either way is a clear upgrade, just wanted to get some thoughts. Some people post insane offers for 2 years of exp but I take those with a grain of salt. Thanks!
AMZN new grads with 0 years of exp get 150k+ in TC in Bay Area. The offer seems low, but if you feel it’s right go for it; get promoted and get a hike. If you have option to decline and interview elsewhere, then do that.
Is this Bay Area?
Yeah, was told would be at Apple park
Also, 90 RSUs or 90k USD in RSUs?
That’s the same as my new grad offer, so I think you could negotiate a bit
Yeah another friend of mine got pretty close to that for new grad too. I’ll try to negotiate a bit, but it’s hard without a counter and they probably know what I’m making at Cisco (so this is a good upgrade).
My TC after 2 YOE was 50%+ higher than when I started and that was without having to jump companies. Apple has deep pockets and usually pay very competitive I think you can negotiate for more.
Was that at Apple or at eBay? I heard Apple starts most new grads at about 110 base and 50 - 70 RSU so would be hard to get that much of a raise after just two years.
125 + 150 seems more reasonable

Do you really think Amazon is that bad
What is your current TC bro
Way less than that (about 100k) but that’s standard for Cisco cause they aren’t super competitive imo. I think it’s a good offer and will 95% take it cause don’t really have much else going on right now
