Grubhub is letting go 15% about 400 people. Those affected will be notified soon. How’s the severance ?
Morale is amazing, everyone is so cheerful & have come to the door to say goodbye. How do you think morale will be? 🤦♂️
Lol 😂. I just realized what I did
Yeah, Stripe that was uncalled for.
Not great
I am sorry for those impacted. Any details on the severance package for those impacted?
I’m not sure. nothing like that was specified in the email . Guess those impacted will be able to share more information
I’ve heard the minimum severance will be 16 weeks and up to 26 weeks. I didn’t hear details on how it ramps up. They should get COBRA during this time too.
Is someone compiling a layoff list ?
16 weeks severance
If this is true, that's not too bad. Granted layoffs are terrible but this will provide some wiggle room for transition
16 - 26 week severance depending on tenure.
Is SWE affected?
Goddammn
Anyone hiring for senior product design?
Honestly this should have happened 2 years ago and cuts need to be deeper, 30%+ GH is losing its steam
Yeah cause it's the people at the bottom of the totem pole who are mismanaging the company, get real we need a shake up at the management level, cutting roles at the employee level is just a short term bandaid. I'm hoping Howard has an actual plan instead of just being brought in to squeeze profits
How do you expect the morale to be? What a stupid ass question this is
Next question - How are laid off folks feeling ?
it depends on severance so it’s a legit question.
