Got a couple of offers, all for a Staff engineer position: Argo AI: - Base: $250K/year - Target Bonus: 20% - Signon: $50K - Equity: $1.8M worth of AIUs over 4 years Facebook: - Base: $240K/year - Target Bonus: 20% - Signon: $100K - Equity: $1.2M RSU over 4 years LinkedIn: - Base: $240K/year - Target Bonus: 15% - Signon: $100K - Equity: $1.1M RSU over 4 years Zoom: - Base: $210K/year - Target Bonus: 8% - Signon: 0 - Equity: $280K RSU over 4 years In terms of team and projects, I can't really tell much only from the interviews. All are similar roles. In terms of WLB, LinkedIn would be a clear winner, as all the other 3 are not known for good WLB (as far as the ratings go from Blind and Glassdoor). Moneywise, Zoom is more of a joke, but I will still keep it in the poll. Between Argo and Facebook, I guess the question is, $1.8M paper money vs. $1.2M real stocks? Currently at a public company but not very well known. TC: $460K YOE: 8 years #argoai #argo #facebook #linkedin #facebooke6 #zoom
Can you also mention leveling info
Argo or Facebook. I would choose whichever one you find more interesting based on team (bad manager can make all people quit a job, no matter how much you get paid), so I’d try to factor other things in here too.
Location?
all are the bay area.
Argo is a really interesting offer. I think they are going ipo soon.
In terms of levels, all are staff level (Facebook E6 equivalent).
Hey LinkedIn Staff is senior outside. So is this offer for Senior Staff at LinkedIn?
Props for getting staff without FAANG experience. Usually that means downlevel. Anyway, I'd do LinkedIn if you're cool with being limited to two US offices. Facebook if you prefer a global company with the chance to work remote. Argo AI for the domain or IPO potential. Zoom if for some reason it interests you. (personally I'd do FB.)
How does LinkedIn equity work? Are these MSFT shares? LinkedIn has better WLB and has similar comp to FB. If you have kids or don't want to work 50 hrs/week (could be less, but based on team/org at FB) then take that. It is very respected from an engineering perspective.
yes all MSFT shares, vesting over 4 years with 1 year cliff.
MSFT stock has been on a good trajectory and is likely more immune to anti trust issues than FB or to the uncertainty of an IPO. But all 3 are great options from stock perspective!
Facebook gives you most ability to choose a team and grow your career
wow, can't imagine we got 30 votes in 10 minutes and linkedin is actually leading! :-)

What are the levels at each of these? Equity looks great for top 3. Way to go!
