Major reshuffling in Visa Technology. No associated layoffs as far as I can tell. Likely to be delays in getting offers out while they figure stuff out. If you are getting ready to join, your role may be a bit different than originally described. Looks like this opens new opportunities, although I expect some confusion at first. Could be a great time to join if you are already considering it.
I have seen 2 types of reorgs. 1. It leads to layoffs. Usually management is impacted more than associates. 2. People and leadership just get shuffled around ie new orgs are created or people get layered like if there were 5 people on the same level 4 of them now report to one of them. Its just more political clout. Anyone who has worked in any financial institution would know that reorgs are pretty typical and do not necessarily lead to layoffs.
One persons shit show is another persons opportunity. Depends on where you sit/land.
I mean if the company is reducing head count, I do not see that as an opportunity for anyone.
(This post stated that the company is not reducing headcount) but sometimes companies do reduce headcount for skills they no longer need, while hiring in other areas, such as to support automation.
Bunch of shit going on, you should join! Chasing referral $$ that bad?
