Overall whole company but one or two teams are a-okay
Should I be selling my Wayfair stocks?
No keep it.
But the engineering is shit? How does this work... I just read their tech blog today. They seem to consider themselves a tech company.

How abt joining data science team?
DS team is okay you can join. Just DM me team i will ask around
Do they hire remote?
I donāt know why but I love it whenever this topic comes up because there is a post on blind about Wayfair that may be my all time favorite post lol. Search for āwayfair incompetenceā. OP Iād be curious if you find the post accurately describes Wayfair
Yes that is why I did not type
@youaintme just read that one. Wow! @OP my sympathies. Iām sure youāll get another job soon.
Heard a lot of bad stuff on here about Wayfair and when I was talking to recruiter about position they balked at my TC expectations - bear in mind I was asking for non coastal type TC so what I gathered from my research is it is a stresful company with low TC. And as a consumer I consider them an overpriced Overstock.com (same quality of product)
Ha. Ur so wrong itās funny
Overstock always has better prices since they price match and send out 18%+ coupons regularly, though usually lower inventory.
I know 2 people that work at Wayfair. - 1 was an event manager (with graphic design background) whoās now IT Project manager (no PMP). - other was a civil Eng. Worked as an accountant for 13 years. He was hired as Sr product manger at Wayfair Is Wayfair a front for laundering money? Why would they hire these people into these specific roles?
I noticed a lot of this type of hiring happens in the Boston area. People hire their friends regardless of their background. Sometimes it works, but most often it kills excellence.
I agree with the Boston hiring mentality. They usually are in the same sphere at least. These 2 specifically were not nepotism hires, just referrals from an existing employee (someone jr).
