I’m a complete noob to all things startups and want to find a good introduction on how they are generally organized, basic terminology, common funding patterns, etc. What are good questions to ask in interviews? How much equity should be expected for various roles at various funding stages? How do you valuate and evaluate them, etc…
buy founders pocket guides on amazon. it’s a series of small books (so yeah they leach $100 out of you $20 at a time). worthwhile investment though. i haven’t found pirate copies of them. then read holloway guide for employee equity info. then visit topstartups.io for very very rough guidance. it’s highly inaccurate but without access to vc comp data at least it’s something
