Facebook offer evaluation
Hi, I got an offer from Facebook London for SDE E5 role. Base pay of 99k GBP and 300K USD over 4 years. I have 14 yoe. Can you rate this offer. Is this a fair offer ? Low balled ? On the higher side ? What’s the maximum seen by you for this role ?
300k USD Rsu is very low. You should aim for 400 at least, better 450
What is your Current TC , are you Sde 3? assuming you are currently in India. Did FB offer signon
Can you provide base + stock distribution of 87 lpa ? Just to get an idea of Sde 3 range with this yoe.

I think for people from outside US with relocation needed, 300k is FB standard.
It’s good offer for London tech scene. With bonus and refreshers your yearly total comp would reach to at least £150k, which is a quite good in comparison to rest of the market. But if you compare with people in the US doing the same job with you, it’s low. That said I don’t think it should be same. London is still expensive but not like 4k $ for a 1 bed.
Its 175k gbp including base, bonus and stock. It excludes refreshers and signon.
higher stock package than average. Middle of the road base. ask for a signing bonus, 20k gbp
Thanks for the replies. Facebook UK and Amazon India salaries are very similar with low tax and much lower cost of living in India. Still confused if it makes sense to join FB or stay back in Amazon. Might reject FB I guess
