Was given a 30-60-90 day plan on day 1 of joining company. Does that mean I was in pip from the start ? Last 1:1 manager said you’re doing well don’t overthink it. Next day laid off. Is that normal for companies to do that when they hire ? #layoffs #stubhub

sucks dude, sorry it happened. This is just the market cycle at this moment. Could be a good time to join an AI startup from one of the accelerators like YC now that their valuations are less bubbly, or you can do a masters program in AI

To me this story sounds very odd. We didn't have any layoffs. We're still hiring tons. And no, they haven't been moved to Europe. We're hiring in nyc and LA mostly
It sound odd to me too ! We’re hiring, we’re recently profitable. We’re hiring a lot !!! Then I was let go even after working a lot
That sucks and sorry to hear about the layoff. 30-60-90 is a traditional plan for onboarding. It’s typical and usually your manager plans it out on what you should accomplish, unless it’s a senior role where you’ll have to define. Layoffs can be random so might be just the pick of the algo

In my eyes, this is just an onboarding plan. If you don’t hit all the milestones, youll get further support, not fired
