I’m considering leaving my company and Brex is looking really interesting. Currently interviewing. When I joined IC I thought it was a rocket ship but soon after joining I realized I was wrong and morale seems to be pretty bad here. I don’t want to make the same mistake. I’m wondering how is morale at Brex? Are you guys bullish? Any concerns about the market downturn?
Unrelated but a good thing about Brex if I remember correctly is that they let you choose your split of cash versus stock options. E.g. you can take a Netflix split of 100% cash.
Yep the recruiter said up to 90% in cash which is cool
The potential base is pretty insane. And if you do expect the stock to double or better than even 10% isn’t bad. Especially if they do let you out refreshers into stock (get a nice little snowball of stock going while your base stays very comfortable)
Bullish, everyone I've talked to here is very excited and we have great things planning/coming very soon. We're just getting started..
Very bullish. Less than half a year in and came from FAANGMULA. I’ve found the people, tooling, and processes here are top notch. Leadership is transparent, morale is high. This may vary team by team though
come earn 10M when ipo
Just joined, morale is super high, low attrition and everyone is super focused on the work at hand.
Wow not a single disgruntled employee so far..everybody seems super pumped
This place is incredible. Few companies are valued at 12B and still can 5-10x Join us!
This post actually convinced me to apply lol
A year in and it’s the best place I’ve ever been at (and I have 20 YOE).
Honestly I'm one of those people that used to just work for the money and want to focus on my hobbies and my family never cared at all about my company's success asides from hoping the stock didn't crash. Family is still my primary focus, but Brex really is special. I've never enjoyed work before and I do now. There's no crazy pressure or bad wlb but I like what I get to build, the super lean processes, the high visibility, and the openness culture. Best company I've worked at by far (6 previous experiences across big tech)
These all sound like awesome traits that every company would want, but how are they able to actually pull it off?
