This Single Malt snobbery is ridiculous. Imagine if someone insisted on single spice cooking, or single instrument music.
There is nothing wrong with blended whiskey in general. It adds consistency of flavor YoY. However, the uniqueness of single-malt whiskey is intriguing as well -- particularly when you start talking about cask-strength single barrels. In the bourbon world, I can taste the difference between two bottles of 4-roses single barrel. They are sublte but pleasantly different. No snobbery on my part, but I do generally enjoy single malts more than blended.

Johnnie Walker? I thought those are blended, not single malt.
Sorry, yeah blended (didn't pay attention to your single malt requirement) Highland Park 18 is the only single malt I've tried in that price range. I liked it.
