I am looking for ways to generate passive income to prepare for early retirement. Appreciate any and all advice/recommendations/guidance, etc. Please share your success stories. Thank you!
Real estate. It works. It takes some time and energy. I found the process of learning about it fun and rewarding.
I do an extra 150k a year with automated trading
Buy stocks when they’re low and undervalued, sell when high
Doesn’t always work. Hard to predict the market.
lol
^^lol
Some tips that have worked for me: Focus on tangible assets (homes, apartments, farm land, developable land). Once you acquire an asset, act as if you never bought it. Don’t spend any of the cash flow, just buy more tangible assets. Apply conservative leverage. Don’t succumb to lifestyle inflation. Success story: Started real estate investing 2 years ago. I’ve been involved in the acquisition of 900+ units in the US, just under 100 units of development, some international farmland, and some international development land. Good luck! Let me know what route you take, I’m always curious to see what others are doing.
What was the revenue and profit you gained from these investments?
It depends how you look at it (IRR, ROE, and un/levered each of those). If you want actual numbers we can chat more but in general my taxes have been effectively 0, my leverage risk is tied to non-recourse loans, and my returns are between 20-30% YoY
Are you talking commercial crowdsourcing?
Nothing flies without a good kick, so your “passive” income will be only as good as the kick you will give it. Better kick needs more time. But even with a greatest kick eventually money will be lost unless you are involved, as “passive” doesn’t work.
You must be a manager
You know nothing John Snow
Yeah the last 30-40 years of S&P growth begs to disagree. Sure there are some passive investments that fail, but the vast majority of well diversified investments have historically thrived.
I have $10k in savings account from which I earn $220/year passively.
Lets use DP to buy low sell high
I didn’t know people that work at visa are this funny
I have done 5 startups besides working in large companies. I am generating passive income from “selling put and call options” and “e-commerce Shopify store”. Both of them requires work and patience to build-out. You can make around $100k from option writing with seed capital of $100k+ if you know what you are doing. SHOPIFY varies a lot depending on what niche you are playing
What Shopify niches did you try? I tried a couple and failed in both. Didn’t lose money but a great deal of effort went in to not have any gain
Blind is not that Blind :) so I don’t want to reveal details here as that way my profile can easily be connected to my name. Send me private message. Thanks
O want to here about your opinion writing. Making $100k with $100k doesn't sound possible.
