Rejected at Amazon with 2 years cool down. If you are wondering how to royally f@#k like this, here is my sob story - Coding 1 - dfs/dp solved optimally (I guess?) Coding 2 - started with n^2, explained that it doesn't look optimal and then gave a nlogn solution. Nlogn is best possible. Coding 3 - messed up. Started solving LC style with a method and helper method. After enough hint realized that the interviewer wants a proper OOPs solution with interfaces, default implementation, specific implementation etc. BR - Went ok but in hindsight looks like a mess. The interviewer was non tech/customer sales side. Couldn't explain my tech projects well. For one example interviewer's expression was "why the hell you implemented it" HM - 40 min behavior, last 20 min design Facebook. By this time I didn't had any new stories to tell so repeated some parts. Prep - 20-30 LC in last few months. 250 LC 3 years back. 3 chapters of Alex Xu design. Around 12 LP examples with 1 line about each, finalized the night before the interview. All interviewers were fun to talk and most of them were long time Amazonians. L63/300
WTF 😂
Same. Per recruiter, I can't interview any jobs in Amazon even the warehouse jobs. I am banned for at least two years.
Oracle, interview for an AWS ProServ MLE position. I was able to clear the phone screen, but not the on-site. I think they want ML OP experience which I don't really have experience with. I actually found out from another Amazon recruiter who accidentally reached out to me without doing the diligence first. She told me I will not be able to interview with Amazon for the next two years at minimum.
Can you shop at whole foods though

2 years cooldown is a new record 😂
Just change your email and use a new phone number and you can appear again anytime.
You should definitely be able to just use a different email address/phone number. Unless there were MAJOR red flags and they actually recorded your info and did ban you.
Design facebook = 20 minutes. Nice
Everyone knows it took Zuck 5 minutes, 20 minutes is more than enough.
2 years is not always enforced , interviewed 3 times in last 1 year ( 3 different roles, SDE, SDM, SA)
How do you know cooldown is 2 years ?
Recruiter said 2 years.
Change email and apply next day lol
