Anyone work at NURX who can provide honest feedback about the working environment?
I have PTSD from working at Nurx. CEO is convinced he knows it all and bullies everyone until they either quit or are fired. To succeed at this place, stay out of his crosshairs, but know that every single decision made benefits no one but the CEO and the co-founder. Company culture is one of fear. Pay is laughably low, because the CEO and his co-founder friend keep it all to fund their extravagant wardrobe, constant travel, and Michelin star lifestyle, which they have no problem flaunting in front of their employees. Smart managers surround themselves with good people and allow them to excel. This place beats good people into submission until they just don't care anymore. I feel sorry for the young folks there straight out of college who probably think Nurx is just the way the workplace is. No. It's really NOT.

HOW DO I APPLY?
I don't work there, but I've heard horror stories.
What is NURX?
I feel bad for the Syracuse office employees at nurx. They are treated worse and don't get nearly the benefits of everyone in the SF office.
the founders give 0 f*cks about employes. the founders wonāt even be straightforward about when the company meeting is for the results of anonymously submitted grievances about company culture. employes are not a priority. if they keep postponing this important meeting then people will forget about it. not a good feeling. employes submitted grievances because theres a problem. now they are not even treating it seriously because they give 0 f*cks.
Did you really expect the founders to be straightforward about this? Being transparent isnāt in their nature plus they know the majority of the complaints from the survey are about them or are rooted in the toxic culture they have created. So why would they prioritize a meeting which will highlight their inability or unwillingness to maintain a healthy work environment? I assume the meeting will either not happen or they will purposely re-schedule it to when no one can attend. Or they will be sick that day and it will be re-scheduled again. If they truly cared about correcting the problems, it woulda already happened.
ya I know. gee, i wonder why so many people quit? they shoulda realized there was a problem when one employee moved across the country for a job there and then quit after a month. they are too obsessed with raising a big funding round soon to care about the little people who actually make the company function.
Anyone who disagrees with ceo should expect retaliation. #StableGenius
A coworker sent this to me and I'm absolutely geeking out. So happy I found this thread. My coworkers and I are miserable and have been talking about quitting for a while now. Who wants to combine secret slack channels?! One of the most positive people in our office was recently blamed by the CEO for creating the divide that exists between the office. What they have to realize is that the people are in charge in this company have created the most toxic, divided company I have ever worked. This company could be so great and I truly love everyone in our office but we are all constantly talking about how badly everyone is treated, especially SYR employees.
wow I'm so glad this exists lmao. it's too bad the company culture is so absolutely terrible because it has so much potential :/ I started out hyped about the job and the company but the way I've seen people being treated, and how I've been treated myself, has brought me to the point where I hardly care anymore. the only reason I'm still at this job right now is because I enjoy the people I work with. those in charge have made me feel entirely replaceable and not valued whatsoever. fear is a favorite management technique, and employees are extremely cognizant of their place in the dynamics of the company.
Working at nurx: coworkers are great people. However, the two in charge poison the working environment and get defensive when given constructive feedback. Morale generally fluctuates between average-at-best to awful; but never good. When morale falls to awful, the co-founders scramble to provide short-term bandaids and phony optimism, but never look inward or acknowledge they need to make changes themselves. Not surprisingly, this lack of leadership results in constant cynicism permeating throughout the company. A company retreat doesnāt change the root problem. Itās just another bandaid.
Seeing the ceo throw a fit during team meetings is pure joy. #affluenza
Itās like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders when they arenāt in the office. Today is a good day šššš

Their culture is terrible. No real HR present either.
If there is a place that absolutely needs HR, it's this place. No handbook, no place to go when employees have problems, and founders who detest meeting with employees or care to hear any feedback from the "underlings."
A co-worker pointed out this thread to me...Whatās going on with this place? The service seems so promising, but Iām saddened to read this is how people are treated.
