Facebook debuted at $40 IPO and went pretty much straight to $20 before bottoming out and now it trades ~$200 Can Uber do the same?
No yes maybe
Maybe...
Ehhh, I changed my mind.... NOPE! 👎
Imagine losing money after being first to market with your ride share idea and working on the business for 8 years~
Scale
They aren’t really losing money anymore than Amazon has been for the last decade.
Bad poll.. 200 is too steep of a growth.. better option could be back to IPO price in an year.. I believe they will bounce back in next few quarters assuming they can keep cutting losses
Lock up period is tomorrow, so most likely the stock will go down big time.. at least in the short term
Yeah Facebook bounced back so everything else will.. are you guys like 5 years old?
Facebook and Uber are basically the same thing right guys? Uber lost $5 billion in a quarter while Facebook made $10 billion, same thing
It seems like people only remember FB as being this company that was always successful. Their memories dont seem to go back further than 5 years.
I hope not
Same could be said for Snap
What about Crackle?....or Pop?....
Facebook was profitable before IPO. Uber still isn't
If you can wait 55 years, the driverless should be in full effect!... 👍

Facebook is wildly profitable. Uber pretends they can maybe break even in their EBITDA.
FB wasn’t always profitable. IIRC, they IPO’d with a shitload of active users and only with a monetization plan. They were also losing lots of money. People thought if they started ads users will stop using it. Also the instagram acquisition was brilliant move.
