The best line in the article 😂😂🤣 “In some buildings, there are more ‘Black Lives Matter’ posters than there are actual black people. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/11/27/facebook-has-black-people-problem-mark-luckie-former-employee.html
Get the popcorn 🍿 out for this ☝️
This is what happened to Uber last year, when media begins to attack a company, they will fire in every angle they can find to hit the headline.
Wow. So women turning on the company and CEO because of the frat atmosphere is what happened TO Uber? Eric Holder and Adriana Huffington had to go in and spank your assess. Come on. Not much has changed there.
Uber deserved it. I am glad that it worked and you finally have a good CEO.
These are private companies doing best to stay in business. Please Apply reservations to government offices only.
I am kinda sick of stories like this already. Private companies should be merit based
They should re-hire this guy
They hired him. He quit and left on his own. The guy who wrote the note, doesn't want to work at the company.
They should have a team for each country, a team for each race, team for each gender L-T, team for all heights and a team for all weights, and weight height proportions, oh and mixed races by percentages and all combinations oh forgot hair styles and left or right handed.
...recursively, until we get to groups of size =1; Everyone can me equally marginalized ... We can name each group, by the person's name. Or we can just skip all those groups and start with the individuals.
They definitely don’t have a Chinese or Indian people problem
Not happy because there are not enough black people at the company, 🤔 then he "quits", reducing the number of black people in the company. Let me Google this... 2017 statistics put FB employee ethnicity who are white at 49%. https://www.statista.com/statistics/311847/facebook-employee-ethnicity-us/
Sigh. This is the outcome of someone who has been bred by society to fear and suspect the worst from everyone different from themselves out of self-preservation. It's obvious that fb's answer to the "black people" problem IS putting up more posters etc to bring more awareness, to try to help black people feel more at home and to remind people to be more inclusive. This is the foundational first steps toward creating an environment that is reminded to pay closer attn to qualified candidates that are black, an environment that is reminded to make people feel more at home. It's sad that he left. Staying and finding a better solution and being a stronger advocate internally (e.g. educating people or calling them out) would've been more beneficial than lighting a not as productive media bonfire. Going to HR or a manager is NOT creating a solution, it is in fact whining about a problem that you hope other people will solve and know how to solve. Which is lame because clearly you're passionate about it and it resonates most with you, so who better to find a solution than yourself.
He got famous.. he is fighting for himself not for people 😝😝😝 Solving one problem at a time 😜
Facebook serves the global market. I believe its international user base is less black than that guy claims.
Word.
The guy specified most "engaged" whatever that means (might be defining that in a certain way)
