Do Netflix eng directors have lower base than ics? Since the CEO makes 700k and ics make more I'm almost certain this is the case.
Why do you care? You dont even work there
Because I just need a slight name change and a better resume
CEO only makes $700k?
Base
Reed earns 20+ M per year, he elected to use the majority of the salary on stock options. Every Netflix employee and executive can do that. Reed can have all 20M in cash he wants to. He just never did it.
Yeah I doubt they would let him do that, CEO pay is capped at 1m for tax reasons. I am just asking about director pay though.
No, the pay is all cash and everyone can choose how much on stock options themselves. From 0% to 100%. Some executive took 5M+ in cash.
That's really unusual, interesting. What does a director make, can't you see their salaries?
Typically 700k+ to the best of my knowledge
Dang that's actually, like, the moderately high range of an IC but with a hundred times more stress and having to manage hundreds of direct reports. I guess some people really don't want to learn Java.
I'm guessing Reed just takes a smaller base than many eng directors (since he's got so much stock), rather than them making less than ICs.
So then how much base are Netflix eng directors, if Google pays like 300k?
