Unfortunately it didn't really work out in a great way. All i really wanted was someone in a position of power to just go and tell him his teasing was a dick move, and for him to stop. Aside from him doing this working with him over this was more or less 100% normal. I guess i made it seem worse then it really was. Anyways went and told my boss first thing monday. I was pretty open and told him everything about how i used to draw nsfw art. Unfortunately he pretty much threw his hands up and said he had to report this to HR. Unfortunately i feel HR made this into something so much much bigger than it really was (bl i am too tired to make proper paragraphs): Dumped my slack messages, had me embarrassingly trace through the conversation where this all started. Had my outline every single possible time and incident that could be considered an issue. Called in a specialist who more or less was acting i was some sort of victim of sexual assault. Went through the motions of like "Are you depressed", "do you want me to notify the authorities", etc. In a tone that made me feel like i was almost some sort of child. Apparently dragged in the two team members who knew (i don't know what happened here). I am on paid leave until next week. Unfortunately at the end of this all, i am on the equivalent of a PIP for violating some sort of internal internet usage rule, and linking to content that is not safe for work. I have been moved teams, and went from doing something i was loving to be shunted to a team where i will be working on maintaining some sort of legacy web app. Honestly i feel like shit, and i feel like HR totally fucked this up and made it into something it really wasn't. ____________________________________________________ Summary: A girl in CS used to draw NSFW art (hentai) on DeviantArt in high school and college. She purged the NSFW arts from her account. A topic came up and she shared her DA with her co worker. There was a link to her NSFW art on one of the comment and he found out about it. She told him not to tell anyone. She later found out he told at least 2 other. Couple days later on during lunch, co-worker brought the NSFW art in a group conversation. She asked Reddit what to do because she didn't like that he brought up the topic about her past even tho she told him not to. Top voted comments were to bring it up to the manager. Summary on updated post: she brought it up to her manager and he report it to hr. She had to dump her slack messages, talk to a specialist, dragged everyone who knew about it, and placed on paid leave for a week. Ended up in PIP and placed on new team working on some boring legacy web app.
Because you wouldn't do something or don't understand why doesn't mean no one would do it. Sounds like someone got offended by the content and they are managing her out since it's not a viable reason to fire her.
Sounds like her coworker wanted to play suck up to daddy boss-man, and act just as offended as he knew the manager would. Overreaction to non-work related discussion. On one hand it could have been overshare if she was pushing it on him. But typically acts like this are brought up when itās time for someone to get a good pencil fucking. Iāll say yeah it sucks for her but sheād have to work for/with me to get a good idea of what kind of producer she was.
Lmao i am the one that posted the āPSA HR is not your friendā post here in blind. I would have told her the same thing if i saw the original post. So young and so naive
Women always have to be dragged down. We are still stuck in the 1950ās.

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
That doesnāt make sense; why would she be placed on a performance improvement plan for her outside-work creative outlet? Thereās got to be more to it
This. Clearly thereās more to the story.
My bad, should have phrased it "pip-like"
