Selling a home? Forget it. Sell yourself and save 3 to 6 percent of the sale that would go to them. No need for an agent nowadays. Just get a title company and they handle the paperwork for a couple thousand and you are set. Can post yourself to MLS for a price or other places easily.

The secret to fast sales with Redfin is that they price your home under market.

There are lower commissions for Redfin agents so you can pocket a bit more from the sell in the end

If you are in Seattle area, dont bother with a sellers agent. Though it might help paying something( between 1-3%) to buyers agent. Though you will need a Real Estate Lawyer, and it might be covered in your legal plan if you have that coverage. If you need more guidance PM me. I recently helped a friend with selling his house.

If u are selling to make money then go look up the most active agent and who who gets more $ per sq ft, in the area. If u want to be cheap, then try help u sell. Pass on redfin, RF is buyer based. Its funny how prople try to save 1 -3% and lose out on making money.

Lose out on making money by saving 3 to 6 % compares to an up sell of maybe 1 to 2%? People overestimate how much agents really do. If an agent can come to agreement with another agent for under the price asked, both will be willing to do so if it saves time. They lose much less over a couple percent then the seller does.

I use an Agent every time I buy/ sell. Avoids some headaches legally that can arise. Redfin looks for a quick sale and their agents are generally ‘fresh’ limited experience agents to get their feet wet before going to established firms.

Try Faira, they will give you a big part of the commission back. I think they are a startup from MSFT and Amazon former employees
