Oracle and their lawyers are stonewalling people on H-1B who they promised green cards to. You will not get a green card process started no matter what they promise.
What if you already have i140 ?
I dunno but I wouldnāt risk it in retrospect. Look up yelp reviews for Berry appleman Leiden. Their efficiency + managers who wonāt push for you because of Corp policy.
Doesnāt matter even if you have
Yeah most employers donāt like to start GC process too early when you have many years left on H1B , only when you are done with 4-4.5 yrs they decide to go for PERM .. Regarding Oracle , it could be recent layoffs and many US workers losing jobs which needs a 6 month cool off period.. in addition , lawsuits which says Indian managers hiring only Indian engineers..
Wait what ? Is this cloud in Seattle ?
Yes, they screwed my GC too. My PERM application has been put on hold for the last 1 year. BAL attorneys are extremely slow in processing documents, they do not reply to your emails or phone calls.
I think I had one of worst manager in Oracle.....
Would u mind sharing his / her name ?
How does it matter, he screwed me up and I am still waiting for my h1 approval till now, been almost 10 months.....2 rfe's....forget about i140....I m still struggling to save my h1 now.....
It does matter. Public shaming works. Unfortunately Oracle is full with BS managers who just yell at you all day everyday. It's coming from top like that.
This is a worst company, they processed my gc on time though, everything was done till recruitment. But my manager did not hand over recruitment result to Bal for almsot 8 months after regressive follow up. The day he did Bal filed but I was laid off 15 days bfor perm approved. This company eat up my 2 golden years. ....the left me hanging in middle
My experience is opposite. The process started on day one. BAL responses my email in half a day.
Good for you man!
My H1b transfer took 3 months just to get receipt and they donāt do premium like lot other companies
Wait, is this different across groups? Again, weāve had premium H1B filings (yes, multiple) over the last 2/3 years no questions asked. Both renewals and new petitions for fresh masters. None of my colleagues complained about BAL.
I'm a manager in oci Seattle. I did fill two green cards already with success.
Mine h1b took 2 days ..not Oracle thou
Oracle cannot file for PERM till Next Spring. Layoffs keep happening and so the 6-month wait keeps on getting pushed out. I am also stuck in the same boat. Oracle is pretty good at initiating green cards, but if they fire people there is nothing they can do. Those PERMs if filed would be most likely audited and denied.
Very true, same happened to me. My bullshit manager kept lying to me all the time on this
To him you are just a name on the list of workers. Time to start looking after your own interests
