You can manage money within a 401k however you want, you do it for the company match and tax deferment.
Absolutely you can, but that doesn’t mean you can right now. Diversifying investment is the basic key to investing. You’ll make way more putting it elsewhere, but they’re way riskier. Finding a mixture is how you do personal investment. 401k is pretty stable and works well with taxes. You should put something in.
