Uber share worth
What is Uber share worth today after the SoftBank deal? 48 or 33? When it’ll be valuated again in the future? Sorry I’m a noob in this startup stuff. I know Uber is not public and the its equity in real life is worth $0 but I want to know the share value based on its current valuation, especially after the SoftBank deal.

It’s still worth 48/share at 68B valuation since secondary sales are always at a discount and SoftBank also invested 1.25b at 68b valuation directly into the company. However it’s not clear since secondary was huge, so some people could say it’s between the two values. There’s no clear answer. It’s more on your own judgement. For me it’s 48/share at 68b valuation.

That doesn’t account for the additional 1B that SoftBank invested at the 68B valuation.

Just for fun, let me do a silly calculation. ~15% shares will be sold at 48B so those are $33 per share. The rest ~85% remain $48 as 68B valuation. That means on average it is about $45.8 per share from that perspective. But the tender was oversubscribed by 72% which means ~25.8% shares were willing to sell at $33 while ~74.2% were believed to be $48. That is about ~$44.35 per share. Again I think both are wrong but this is just for fun.
