How is Rackspace doing. I’m been interviewed for SR. Software engineer role. I’m need to take care of green card processing so I’m seeing 10 years with my next job. Please advise will Rackspace is a good company to stick for >10 years
10 years seems like a long time by any measure. And especially in tech. If stability for several or more years is what you need for your green card, you may want to look at trying to get a job with the state, university, or one of the many non-profits or educational tax dodges that infest Austin. If you are willing to move south a little, HEB and USAA are not going anywhere anytime soon, and both hire large numbers of developers. As to RS, while I am not nearly as pessimistic as ApolloCreed, he is correct that the next year or two will be unpredictable.
Can you give me referral
Definitely they lost their prime time and now trying their best to survive.... 2-3 yrs ok, but not more than that..
Their immigration/visa org is way understaffed. Lots of people here on visas and related have been burned as a result of this lack of prioritization.
Can you refer me please
If you’re joining Professional Services or you may have heard the name Onica then you’re joining a fantastic engineering group. Rackspace pivoted to cloud integrations, and it’s their main cash cow. As a stockholder, it looks good.
