Moving to bay area from NYC IT finance

How do I move from NYC to bay area? I am not a developer but technically sound. I am in IT in finance. Preferably I would like to stick to finance domain as I love it. The reason I want to move is the weather and work life balance in the bay area. What kind of firms in the bay area look for people like me who has over 10 years of experience in IT finance with domain knowledge? I am not a BA or PM but my work entails working with clients and business and help smooth transition to electronic platform.
