Depends on your long term goals. If career and job satisfaction are your highest priority, make the change. In my opinion, fear of immigration should not decide where you want to work. On the flip side, if being in the US is more important, you can play safe by staying where you are and don’t change unless you have to. Everyone’s situation is different, I would personally take the new job if I were you, I would ask the employer to file in premium processing, wait until the transfer is clear without Rfe and then move. Good luck with whatever you decide
I just switched. That's only after my approval though. It was done in premium and finished in a week
I think you shouldn’t let those things stop you from trying. If you’re truly passionate about working on something or for someone, you wouldn’t let such things stop you. And if you’re a valuable asset the company would do whatever to ensure you’re okay!
Nahh...I recently applied for my transfer. Was done in 3 days. No issues.
Your gonna be fine
You will still get approved albeit with possible delays if your case is legit and you check these boxes - you are not in analyst role, have high salary, have a degree related to your work and your attorney is not incompetent
I heard even Engineering degree in non CS are getting queries. Also wondering how green card processing all over again will be impacted
They can issue RFE just to mess with you but they cannot deny without a good enough reason. Haven't heard much changes in perm/i140 cases. Most of the focus seems to be on h1bs.
