Was told to increase my velocity on the manager 1:1. I'm a SDE2. Is that code for under preforming? What's your secrets in moving fast in a large company after the 6-month honeymoon period?

Yep that is manager language that you are not performing up to expectation. Figure out what your boss cares most about and optimize for that. Speed, quality, delivery

Increase velocity means finish stories faster. But if you are slower with more quality code than it’s good - unless your manager doesn’t care about quality.
