How often does Amazon enforce non-competes in Boston?

Feels like a relevant question, given the speculation surrounding the HQ2 news.

Amazon rarely enforces non-competes. I wouldn't worry unless you were an L7+ or you blatantly stole proprietary info and are using it at your current employer, etc

They like to threaten but I've never heard of anything coming from it.

It's next to impossible to enforce non competes in MA

Non competes are definitely enforceable in MA. That's why they have been trying to reform the law. Even without a lawsuit, a competitor will often be reluctant to interview someone from a competing company.

Yeah, that doesn't ring true from the stories I've heard. There's a reason big companies fought hard to fight non-compete reform last year (and they won).
