I have an on-site in a few weeks. I have heard that the teams are experimenting with ad features and revenue model, and the road map isn't very solid. Is it a good time to join?
Spotify is a shit show internally but needs smart people. Negotiate HARD for the salary you want because you’ll never get a raise above inflation for the rest of your time at the company.
Not that I disagree necessarily but, what makes it a shit show in your opinion?
Fake agile, over saturated middle management and hiring practices that emphasize fit over experience. Yes, lots of smart people, but overall there is a "slipped transmission" of business leadership (which I respect) and people on the ground (I also respect many). It's the org in between that I don't care for.
Lol. The revenue mission leads the lunch lines on 3
Great time to join. Most teams are autonomous so the roadmaps are what you make them.
