I know, in comparison to iPhone X sales, pixel 2 has far fewer sale/activation. However that doesn't mean much since no one expected the pixel line up to catch up to Apple this quickly any way. Sales & Activation numbers are relative based on expectations from product & marketing. For example, in it's first year of launch, Chrome browser had an internal target of 2% market share (based on conversations with my Google buddies, may not be fully accurate though). So my question to Googlers: relative to your internal expectations, do you consider pixel 2 line up of phones a success? (P.S. using the Pixel 2 XL & loving it 😊)
Pixel 2 line up sucks in terms of performance per dollar. Make some camera improvements over the Nexus lineup, and double the price. Okay! There are better Android devices out there.
"Better Android devices out there" - such as?
Such as the Razer Phone and the OnePlus 5T. Both buttery smooth. OnePlus 5T comes out ahead of the Pixel 2 XL in many areas. Neither of them have stellar cameras though. However, if I'm *that* particular about photography, I'll buy a dedicated point and shoot that none of the phones can match anyway.
Not a success until it can scale to at least some meaningful segment of users.
As an iPhone X user, the Pixel 2 actually looks like a pretty cool phone. Would be unfortunate for it to not hit sales numbers.
