I hear Google has a ban on all leetcode questions. For those who got an offer from Google, would you suggest practicing on Leetcode or Topcoder? I've primarily done leetcode for practice, but never Topcoder. It doesn't seem like they have the same interface where you can run your code. Is the better interface on Leetcode worth the trade-off of the question ban? Is Topcoder better because it's more esoteric? Which would you say helped more?
A ban won't work. People will just add more questions to leetcode. They might as well ban technical interview s altogether
It can work. Let’s say all questions on leetcode are banned. Then someone interviews and gets asked a question from the unbanned list. That question is unheard. Then the interviewee posts the question on leetcode. Then next time the interviewer conducts an interview, he checks if his question is on leetcode, and if so, change.
Its a lost war IMO. There are more questions contributers to LC than there are question writers at Google. Add to it the fact that coming up with good questions that give enough signals within 45 minutes is really hard. They might as well change their stupid interview process
They should change it to a game show format. Like Who Wants to be a Millionaire? except it's Who Wants to be a Googllionaire? hosted by James Damore. You only have 1 lifeline and it's to be able to use google.com.
No ban. Interviewed there twice in last two years and got asked LRU twice.
Hi OP. Leetcode would be just fine. Most probably you won't get a question right off of leetcode, but if you have done a bunch of leetcode covering various topics, you would crack it.
A ban?
