Now that Spotify is going to go public, how does one buy the initial stock ?
You won’t be able to buy it until they actually go public
What is the listing price?
You really want to buy stocks from a music company?
I'm pretty sure Spotify is going to get over valued, given the large user base and the prevailing public interest in investing into anything new that comes up
I predict a early bump followed by a slow and painful decent to hell. I wouldn’t plan to hold.
Ipos are only for the rich sorry. If you have to ask you probably have to buy at marker open.
Have you seen thier massive lawsuits?
You can actually buy stock before the IPO. There’s always people selling shares for one reason or another. Equityzen frequently manages sales trains.
E*Trade has an IPO participation plan. But everytime I signed up for it, they said the IPO shares weren't available. Loyal3 had an IPO participation plan for Square but Loyal3 went out of business. So unless you're an investment bank, you're out of luck in getting any IPO shares. You'll have to be like everyone else and buy the stock on IPO day.
Fidelity also offers this but only for trading accounts that have something like $700k~$1m in them.
