Amazon Sde2 interview
Hi, I currently have about 3 years of experience and I will soon be interviewing at amazon for sde2 position in AWS. What is the main difference between sde1 interview and sde2 interviews? What are the general expectation? More design? Thanks!
Forget about technical knowledge. Just prepare your stories for their Leadership Principles bullshit. Technical part will only be for 1/3rd of the time; 2/3 os reserved for LP bullshit.
They seriously asked me like 30 leadership principles questions. That shit made my head hurt, then they dinged me on the only coding question they asked (binary search in a rotated array), they suggested reapplying as a SDE1 because of it.
Why didn't they asked me so many shitty LPs? I was prepared 😏

Hi guys, I got offer for 140k base 100 rsus 80k sign on I had no competing offers. Decided to pass on this and wait 2 more months before interviewing for Facebook, google, etc... Thanks for all the help. The questions were trivial, leetcode medium, medium, easy with 2 design problem. Total 5 rounds.
So most of the questions are from leetcode ?
Probably a bit too late, I was interviewed by Kindle team recently. All my questions were on graphs, one was on dynamic programming and a system design question
Yes, more design. You should know object-orientation, design patterns and a bit of architecture. And more experience. You should be able to talk about some good work you've done in the 3 years. Discuss the architecture and requirements of your past projects.
