I came across a manager opportunity in Amazon Advertising team. - does anyone know what it is like to work at Amazon Austin office and Amazon Ad? Work life balance, people, etc? - what is the tc range for l5 or l6? This one does not have "senior" in title, so it looks like l5 or 6. - there are many openings across multiple locations with Austin TX at the top of the list. if not Austin, the comp range info at other locations would be great, too.
Many L6 are senior at Amazon. Principals are L7.

Was told l7 maps to senior manager and l8 to director, l10 to VP. Is this correct?

Ask specifically what level, I've seen people make role as Sr Manager but it's only L6
Job title doesn’t really mean anything. Level only means what the company expects from you. I love the flat hierarchy here. No egos. The level of scope, scale, and complexity is far more here vs other companies. Think bigger picture and don’t limit yourself to vanity titles. And, comp is huge if you invest the time and deliver good work.
