I'm an Indian immigrant in US. I see posts on Blind where Indians are either desperate to get a gc (ex. my child is born in US so please please please give me citizenship), or for some strange reason feel entitled that US must let them to stay (bloody US can't send me back now that I've bought a house). Two things: 1. US doesn't owe you shit. All the visas you got (after standing in long lines) so far clearly stated they were for temporary stay. In fact, very likely you made it appear to authorities that you intend to NOT settle in US permanently. US govt must and will prioritize its citizens over you. If they voted anti immigration, tough luck. 2. Your desperation just puts forth a bad face of India. Whether you like it or not, people will (at least to a minor extent) judge your heritage based on your actions. Try to hold on to your dignity. Your actions affect the rest of us eventually. If you are so fucking skilled and deserving, make India a better place where YOU are the priority. I know I'm going to get a lot of flak for this rant, but needed to get it out of my system. Edit: I don't have gc because never applied. Going back to India really soon because that's what I always wanted (not because of recent visa issues). Didn't share earlier because thought my situation is not important, what I'm saying is. If it hurts, probably because it's true.
Well said
When did you get your gc lol
Historically even born citizens were not safe let alone GC guys đ. Will be funny to read a post from this guy when GC/citizens are being kicked out like in 30s (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_Repatriation)
100% agree
Post from Indian who got green card, maybe even citizenship.
You're probably the only based Indian I've seen in this community
May be he isnât ;)
Asshole like this make this country great again. Oh well just realized tax cuts for rich, no health care for poor. Women can't be president because they are women.
This is blind. Dare you to make such a comment on Facebook where people know your identity ? Everyone has balls of titanium when you are posting anonymously!
Points well made, but Iam not sure you would be saying the same if you and your family were being affected by the proposed changes.
^This. Seems like @asshole got his shit done so it becomes easy to preach dignity
I am Indian without green card and all I can say well said. I don't give a damn for the gc. Have some dignity and trust in your skills.
Same here.
Absolutely, I am in that same boat. Came here for studies and since then life has happened, no regrets thanks to this country for the opportunity and open arms - feel bad canât give back more to the society here. If I have to go back, that is cool. I can make enough back home as well...
Amen.
